A local Headteacher reviews the service we offer…

I first came to know of Tim and Joy during the time that I was Headteacher at a nearby CEVC Primary School. They ran the ParenTalk course at at the school, which proved so popular with one particular group of parents that Tim & Joy were asked to return the following term to run a follow-up session. These parents often spoke to me about how beneficial they were finding these sessions and how the course was having a positive effect on their own parenting. Tim & Joy’s involvement at my current school, pre-dates my time at the school, but again, has been valued, highly regarded and helpful to many members of our school community here. Whilst the previous Headteacher was at the school, Tim & Joy ran a regular drop-in parenting session, which became popular and well-used. The previous Headteacher would refer parents to Tim & Joy for parenting advice, a service which was valued and appreciated by both parents and staff alike, as certain staff members have also requested advice from Tim & Joy and have attended training courses that Tim & Joy ran at Number72 in Sudbury. A further strength of the service offered by Tim & Joy is the option that parents have for receiving support and discussing family issues off-site, at Number 72 North Street. This is important in order that parents and staff do not feel that their confidentiality is compromised by always needing to talk in school. I hope that this gives interested parties an indication of how important I feel the role of Tim & Joy Ayrton has become in our school communities locally. I know that quite a number of local primary school Headteachers would also echo the views expressed here.
